Qualified safety training for workers who are required to complete the mandatory basic safety training course, commonly called the green card.

Legal basis

Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance (Cap. 59), s.6BA - mandatory basic safety training for persons employed on construction sites and in the container handling industry; a valid certificate from a course recognised by the Commissioner for Labour must be held and produced on demand.

Legal basis

Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Confined Spaces) Regulation, Cap. 59AE, made under s.7 of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance (Cap. 59). Regulation 8 requires every worker who enters or works in a confined space to be a certified worker.

Safety training for qualifying competent persons to meet legal requirements.

Legal basis

Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Confined Spaces) Regulation, Cap. 59AE, interpretation - a person aged 18 or above who is either a safety officer registered under Cap. 59Z or holds a risk assessment certificate authorised by the Commissioner, and who has at least one year of relevant experience.
